GCISD Council PTA Awards – Nominations Now Open

The GCISD Council of PTAs is now accepting nominations for our annual Council PTA Awards, which will be presented at this year’s Founders’ Day event.

Council PTA Awards include:

• Friend of Children Award

• Honorary Life Membership Award

• Extended Service Award

The Council Awards Committee is also seeking nominations from each GCISD campus for the Dr. Jim Thompson Exemplary Achievement in Education Award, which honors an exemplary GCISD educator with at least five years of service who supports the PTA mission and is a PTA member in good standing.

Welcome to the GCISD Council of PTAs!

The GCISD Council of PTAs serves the Grapevine Colleyville Independent School District and supports 18 local PTAs. Join as a Community Member to support multiple schools within GCISD.  

For more than 100 years, Parent Teacher Association (PTA) has provided support, information and resources to families focused on the health and education of children. As the largest volunteer child advocacy association in the nation, PTA reminds our country of its obligations to children and provides parents and families with a powerful voice to speak on behalf of every child while providing the best tools for parents to help their children be successful students. 

Every year, GCISD Volunteers must submit a new background check in order to volunteer at our schools. Submit your background check today!
